Since 2009, Ruud has been involved in the introduction of electric transport in the Netherlands, where he was fascinated by the combination of sustainability and innovation. 

His wealth of experience and knowledge as a consultant in the EV world, his commitment to quality, and his desire to help governments and companies find their way in this dynamic world are characteristic of him. As a partner of EVConsult, he is responsible for the strategy and policy projects within EVConsult and the projects in the heavy transport domain (including buses and freight). He has been working on zero-emission bus transport since 2013 and was one of the first in the Netherlands to map the possibilities for electric freight transport. During his free time, he plays soccer and spends weekends with his family in Zeeland.
